Hello Parents/Guardians,
Our PAC (Parent Advisory Committee) has had a busy start to the year and we are looking forward to bringing fun ideas and experiences to our kids at school. Yes! - even during Covid we CAN have fun, be creative, support our community, learn and laugh, and get to know each other - virtually 🙂.
So far, we have:
created and launched our new PAC website and email
continued to work on hot lunch refunds - thank you so much for your patience as we work through the challenges and a big thank you to all the wonderful donations we received!
planned a virtual Christmas dance party (details to follow on our website next week) - SAVE THE DATE December 18th at 3:15pm and 4:15pm.
launched our Chantrell Cares Calendar initiative with our Grade 7 Leadership Kids Program (please click here with details about the program)
planned an initiative to raise funds for 2 new school projectors - this will start in January 2021
brainstormed ideas to launch at our school in 2021 - For Our Kids!

A few things to know:
our Chantrell Cares Calendar initiative has even greater impact this year. We created an idea to help support small businesses in our community, while continuing to help families at our Sister School, Senator Reid. Please click here for program details. If you are the owner of a small business, we would love to help you also! Your donation to advertise in our school calendar will be used to support our Sister School families. The calendars will be for sale shortly and ready for delivery prior to the Christmas holiday. If you would simply like to make a donation to help support you can do so by etransfer to hello@chantrellcreekpac.ca Please include in the subject line of the etransfer "donation for Chantrell Cares".
while we can't hold Cozy Christmas in the traditional Chantrell way, we will instead host a Virtual Christmas Dance Party! This will be done from the comfort and party zone you create at your home. You and your kid(s) will be able to sign in to Zoom where a Virtual Dance DJ will be hosting your party. There will also be prizes given throughout the dance. Please SAVE THE DATE for December 18th: K-4 will be 3:15pm to 4:15pm and Grades 5-7 will be 4:15pm to 5:15pm. If you have more than one child at Chantrell, you will have the fun of joining both parties! We will launch all the details on our website next week.
